FETAC Level 5 Special Purpose Award
- Assessment, accident scene management, responsibilities of First Aider
- Circulation, wounds and bleeding
- Respiratory system, asphyxia, introduction to cardio pulmonary resuscitation
- Heart conditions, choking and CPR
- Unconsciousness, head injuries, stroke and fainting
- Fractures, sprains, strains and dislocations
- Burns, scalds, chemical poisons, electric shock
- Medical Emergencies (diabetes, asthma and epilepsy) , crush and spinal injuries
- NB. Slides of actual injuries will be shown during the course
Candidates who take this course and successfully pass the examination will receive a FETAC certificate stating their qualification to act as Occupational First Aiders in the workplace, as per Health & Safety Authority Guidelines.
